Hi,

I’m Bernd, a German guy, but living now for 7 years on a beautiful smallholding close to Gordons Bay, Western Cape.

Shortly after my wife and I had established our new life here in South Africa, I was trying to get all my required Western tack and equipments from the local market, but this wasn’t that easy , as I expected before. Soon I came really frustrated, because it was near to impossible to buy a stylish , good quality Western saddle , tack or any other equipments. On the end I imported everything I was looking for from the USA. Online shopping can be really seductive, especially in this huge US market, because I bought on the end more as I really needed for my own horses. So, I was forced to sell some stuff locally, which was much easier, as I expected to be. A lot of people told me, that they would like to change to Western Riding too, but their biggest problem is from where to get all required tack and equipments.

Soon the idea was born to open a Western Tack shop with only imported items from the USA. After a wile of preparation, my little tack shop was starting in May 2006. On the very beginning I sold more or less only to customers living close by, but step by step shipments was also send out of the Western Cape, like for example to the Johannesburg area.

Additional to some exhibition sales on different horse shows, I would like to extend my service now more country wide by offering products on this web site, to reach even more people interested in Western Riding.
